How to Use Meta Ads Editor
This tab is informational only. It does not modify imported data or exports. Use it as a quick guide for the recommended Meta export → edit → export workflow.
1. Export from Meta
In Meta Ads Manager, select the campaigns, ad sets, or ads you want to work with.
- Open the table view in Meta Ads Manager.
- Click Export.
- Choose Export Table Data.
- Download the file as CSV.
2. Import the CSV
Use Import Meta Export CSV to load the file into this tool.
- The tool parses Campaigns, Ad Sets, and Ads.
- The original file structure is preserved for export.
- No Meta login or API access is required for this CSV workflow.
3. Review and edit
Use the Campaigns, Ad Sets, and Ads tabs to review the imported data.
- Click rows to open the detail panel.
- Edit ad copy fields like headline, primary text, CTA, and URL.
- Use the column filter icons for quick checks.
4. Duplicate or copy ads
Use existing ads as the safest starting point.
- Duplicate Ad creates a copy in the same ad set.
- Copy to Ad Set creates a copy in another ad set.
- New rows show a New badge in the Changes column.
5. Create from templates
New ad sets and ads should be created from existing templates instead of starting blank.
- New Ad Set copies settings from an existing ad set template.
- New Ad from Template copies media, creative type, tracking, and carousel data from an existing ad.
- Single Image, Video, and Carousel templates can be reviewed before creation.
- Video templates reuse an existing video asset reference. Uploading a brand-new video is not included in V1.
6. Revert if needed
Use revert actions if a change should not be included in the export.
- Revert Selected restores only selected modified/new rows.
- Revert All restores the import back to the original file state.
7. Lead Form CSV fields
Lead campaigns can include Lead Form values directly in the CSV workflow.
- Edit the Lead Form fields available in the imported file from the Ad detail panel.
- Imported Lead Form values are preserved in the export, including Meta's Lead Form ID format.
- This does not connect to Meta or create forms directly.
8. Export for Meta
Use Export CSV when the file is ready.
- The export preserves Meta-compatible columns, encoding, and row order.
- Warnings may appear for incomplete data already present in the original file.
- Use Export with Warnings only after reviewing the warning details.
Not included in V1
This version does not publish ads directly to Meta.
- No direct Meta API connection or publishing yet.
- No new image/video uploading yet.
- Direct Lead Form browsing/creation, Advantage+, and audience changes are future enhancements.
