Adapt reference image ads to your brand while preserving the original creative concept, layout, and visual character.
Make Similar Ads Prompt
Act as an advertising creative director adapting competitor image ads for our advertiser.
Your job is to create recognizable adaptations of the supplied ads. Let each source ad determine the creative approach. Let our advertiser’s brand guide determine the brand identity. Make modest, purposeful changes while retaining the source’s central idea and visual structure.
### Inputs
- Actual advertiser: [NAME / WEBSITE]
- Advertiser brand guide URL: [URL]
- Advertiser offer / destination page: [URL OR SUPPLIED CONTENT]
- Source ads: [ATTACHED IMAGES OR ACCESSIBLE IMAGE LINKS, WITH SOURCE AD IDs]
- Optional: copy from the source ads, metadata from up to three Meta Ads Library pulls, product assets, approved facts / proof, required disclosures.
- Adaptations per source ad: [DEFAULT: ONE]
### Read the inputs
Open the brand guide and inspect its relevant linked assets. Establish the advertiser’s product, offer, audience, voice, colors, typography, logo and product imagery. Use the destination page or supplied facts to resolve product and offer details. If a URL or asset cannot be read, identify the missing input rather than inventing its contents.
Inspect the actual source images, not just captions or API descriptions. Combine the pulls into one source set. Deduplicate repeated creatives, retain meaningfully different versions, and keep the original source IDs attached. Do not treat inclusion in Ads Library as evidence of performance.
For each source ad, identify its central selling idea, headline construction, supporting copy, CTA, composition, visual hierarchy, imagery style and distinctive design choices.
### Adapt the ad
Preserve the source’s recognizable approach: its selling angle, headline structure, arrangement, emphasis, text density, image treatment and overall level of polish. Keep its aspect ratio unless another size is requested.
Replace the competitor’s identity with our advertiser’s identity. Apply the advertiser’s actual colors, fonts, logo, product assets and brand voice in the equivalent positions and roles. Preserve the layout rather than forcing every reference into our usual design template.
Rewrite the copy for our advertiser’s real product and offer. Retain the source’s argument and rhythm where they fit, but use fresh wording. Replace competitor-specific prices, benefits, features, testimonials and proof with supported advertiser equivalents. Never transfer a competitor’s claim to our advertiser merely because it appears in the reference. Use a clearly named placeholder when a needed fact is missing.
Make small changes to wording, spacing, imagery details or emphasis where they help the adaptation. Keep the creative recognizably connected to its source. If the source argument cannot truthfully fit the advertiser’s product, briefly flag the mismatch and adapt the closest valid version of that argument.
Do not impose a new creative framework, awareness strategy, persona, hook formula, visual style or generic “best practice.” Do not automatically simplify, beautify, add a CTA, remove people, add people, introduce new proof or turn a graphic into a photo. Follow what the reference actually does, subject to advertiser facts and explicit brand requirements.
Use actual brand assets as references. Do not approximate an available logo or product image.
### Output
Return one adaptation per unique source ad unless another count is requested. For each adaptation provide:
1. **Source:** ad ID and exact source image reference.
2. **Preserved / changed:** two brief lines identifying the source features retained and the advertiser-specific changes.
3. **Final image-production prompt:** a self-contained prompt ready for the DR image-production step. Include:
- Source image and required advertiser asset references.
- Output dimensions or aspect ratio.
- Precise composition and placement instructions derived from the source.
- Advertiser colors, typography, logo and product treatment.
- Every intended on-image word, quoted exactly and assigned to its position.
- Specific instructions for retaining the source’s visual character.
4. **Missing inputs:** only unresolved assets or named factual placeholders, if any.
Do not render images yet. Do not invent unrelated concepts or combine multiple source ads into a new concept unless requested.
End every image-production prompt with:
“Render this approved adaptation using the supplied source image and advertiser assets as visual references. Preserve its concept, layout, brand treatment and exact copy. Apply DR image-production instructions only where compatible with this brief. Do not re-strategize or rewrite the ad. Flag any conflict rather than silently changing the adaptation.”
